Today I had an inspiring AM session riding super clean waist/shoulder high waves. Desperate to express my enthusiasm, I decided to write a haiku.
Sea breeze, waves breaking
Breathing heavy, shoulders burn
Drop-in, pop-up, carve
I hope I did this correctly. Joe and Drew, let me know how I can improve.

enjoy the tropical storm waves
to write a haiku
one must simply trust instinct
and truth is revealed.
hmm...i don't know about haikus. my expertise pretty much ends with limericks and sonnets in iambic pentameter. thanks for stopping by my little corner of cyberspace...i'll have to come to your page more often now that i'm "back." glad to see you've found a life...maybe i'll get a gym membership until i find one too. :)
sounds like someone's surf stoked. i'm jealous!
Hey Ric,
I am a senior at Shepherd University and I am taking a class called motion graphics and we are doing a typography project where we use words to show the pictures, and I was wondering if I could use your Haiku. I live on the east coast at the beach in summer and cant wait to get back in the water. If yo ucan email me at mrusse02@shepherd.edu and let me know if its ok I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks
Matt
